Nice catch !!!

Tod Glover - Big Bass 4.68 lbs

Mark Semple & Alex Cataldo - first place 15.65 lbs

Once again division 40 anglers braved the storms and waited out the rain in what turned out to be a great night of fishing. We had 30 boats and a ton of fun. Congratulations to Todd Glover who won big bass this week with an absolutely stunning small mouth weighing in at 4.68 lbs. Not to be out done was our first place team of Mark Semple and Alex Cataldo with a great sack of fish on any lake weighing in at 15.65 lbs.

We had a total fish count of 81 with none dead and 11 teams bringing 9lbs plus to the scales. There were 13 fish over 3 lbs and four fish over 4 lbs. Great Job and nice fish. Thank you for taking care of your fish and helping to return them to the lake to be caught again another day.

A special thanks to Terry Horak who took time to go with me to set up all of the parking with Mitchell's bait shop. Also thanks to Bill Mitchell for allowing us to park in his lots.

Our sponsor of the night was Dad's Deli in Waterford. They provided us with 3 gift certificates good for a sandwich, drink and chips. Larry, the owner, has told me that some of our anglers have been in and thanked him for sponsoring division 40. Please continue to let him know how much we appreciate his support when you are in picking up a fantastic sandwich. Once you try them you will be hooked I guarantee it. If you have a need for a caterer they do a great job on that as well.

Next week we will be at Kent Lake in Kensington State Park. We will be launching from the West ramp and look forward to another great night of fishing. Who knows maybe it won't rain on us for once you never can tell, See you there.

Sorry Jack

Just wanted to post an apology to Jack at NBAA. I did not mean to inply that the late results were all his fault. :-)

The Results are in!

Jack at NBAA updated our division on the NBAA website on Thursday so we were able to enter in the results from Monday. Sorry for the delay. We are still missing a few anglers on the website so once again the results will not be accurate. Thanks for your patience :-)

June 9th - Sylvan Lake

Alot of Big fish were caught!

1st Place
Scott & Kelly Tyrell - 10.30 lbs.
Big Bass
MAtt Malmquist - 4.29 lbs.

Sorry for the delay on the NBAA website results. We didn't have electricity or internet until Thurs. afternoon. We did have a generator but the internet was out as well so it didn't matter. We still have about 8 anglers who are not in the NBAA database yet so the results are still not accurate.

Well, despite the threat of bad weather and the lack of a good ramp we appreciate the 21 boats that showed up to fish on Sylvan Lk. We are thankful that the weather held out until the end of the tournament and then only rained during the weigh in. All in all it was a nice evening to fish. Congratulations to the Tyrells who took first place with 10.30 lbs. and to Matt Malmquist with a nice small mouth weighing in at 4.29 lbs. There were alot of good sacks weighed in, once again we had a great time. We look forward to seeing all of you at Lake Orion on the 16th of June. It should prove to be another good weigh in as I have heard that the bite is pretty good on the lake. Thanks again for fishing with us in Division 40. Remember to visit Hanks fly fishing shop and all of the other great sponsors that support us. Korri will have all of the sponsor information updated on the blog shortly so watch for them.
