Cass Lake - August 29

2nd Place - Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr 8.81 lbs

1st Place - Homer Mayberry and Chuck Billington 8.84 lbs

Big Bass - Derrek Zdeb 5.04 lbs

This was our last regular tournament and only the divisional championship is left. A pretty good night of fishing. We had 30 boats show up to fish with 11 teams bringing in limits and 90 fish were caught. Much better than the last two weeks.We paid out six places and two big bass. First place went to Homer Mayberry and Chuck Billington with a weight of 8.84 lbs. Close behind with a weight of 8.81 lbs was the team of Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr. Third place went to Derrek Zdeb and Justin Dunckel with 8.75 lbs. Mike Coopersmith and Matt Fischer came in fourth with 8.22 lbs. Fifth place went to Chris Cucksey and Dave Long with 7.26 lbs. The team of Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows came in sixth place with 7.05 lbs. Our first place big bass went to Derrek Zdeb with a nice largemouth weighing in at 5.04 lbs. Chuck Billingotn took the second big bass place with a weight of 3.26 lbs. Congratulations guys! Our Divisional Championship is Saturday, September 17. If you have fished 8 tournaments with our division this year you are qualified to fish the championship. We are meeting at 5:30 a.m. at KD Outdoors in Waterford on M-59. You may park in the bank parking lot next door to KD. We really appreciate all the anglers that fish with us. You guys make our division a cut above the rest.

Orion Lake - August 22

2nd Place - Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows 10.84 lbs

1st Place - Chris Standhardt and Chuck Standhardt 13.42 lbs

Big Bass - Joe Bedra 4.37 lbs

Unfortunately another hard fishing night. You can tell it's near the end of the season. We had 25 boats turn out with only43 fish caught and only 4 limits of fish brought in. However the top three places brought in over 10 lbs. We paid out five places and one big bass. First place went to the team of Chuch Standhardt and Chris Standhardt with a great sack of fish weighing 13.42 lbs! Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows took second with a total weight of 10.84 lbs. Third place went to Homer Mayberry and Chuck Billington with their fish weighing in at 10.47 lbs. The father/son team of John Matheis and Dylan Matheis came in fourth with 8.82 lbs. And another father/son team took fifth, Jim Baker and Jeff Baker brought in 6.83 lbs. Our Big Bass went to Joe Bedra with a nice bass weighing 4.37 lbs! One more week in our regular season then the Championship on Saturday, September 17. If you have fished at least 8 tournamnets with us you are able to fish our championship. We are meeting at KD Outdoors at 5:30 a.m. on the 17th and Paul will let you know the plan for the day at that time. Pontiac Lake - August 15

It was great having Jim Sprague fish with us on Monday.

1st place - Andrew Solomon 8.71 lbs

Big Bass - Dave Long (& Terry Melvin) 3.71 lb

Not a very good night of fishing this week, the fish just were not biting. 29 boats showed up to fish but only 40 fish were caught. Out of the 29 teams, only 1 brought in a limit. We paid out 6 spots and 1 big bass. First place went to Andy Solomon with 8.71 lbs. Mike Coopersmith and Matt Fischer came in second with a limit of fish weighing 7.61 lbs. Third place went to Chuck and Chris Standhardt with 5.97 lbs. Chris O'Connor and Sandy Alfaro came in fourth with 5.37 lbs. Chris Smiley and steven Smiley took fifth with 4.61 lbs. and sixth place went to Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows with 4.52 lbs. Big Bass went to Dave Long with 3.71 lbs. Lake Oakland - August 8

Well we are on week nine already, only three more tournaments until the Divisional Championship on September 17. This week the anglers fished on Lake Oakland, we had 26 boats out to fish. Eight teams caught limits with a total of 84 fish brought in to be weighed. We paid out 5 places and 1 big bass place. First place went John Matheis and his son Dylan who brought in a great sack of fish weighing in at 11.58 lbs. The team of Chris Standhardt and Chuck Standhardt took second with a weight of 10.98 lbs. Third place went to Bob Ayotte and Josh Cowen with a nice bag weighing 10.75 lbs. Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows came in fourth with 10.46 lbs. Fifth place went to Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr with 9.71 lbs. Big Bass this week went to Bob Ayotte with a nice largemouth weighning 3.70 lbs. See you on Monday at Pontiac Lake.

Orchard Lake - August 1

Another hot sticky night. We had 27 boats with 60 fish brought in. We only had 5 limits tonight but there were alot of 2 lb bass and over. We paid out five place and 1 big bass. First place went to the team of Chris Cucksey and Dave Long with 9.30 lbs. Ed Schiller and Don Patton came in second with 8.61 lbs. Third place went to Todd Glover and Mike Ray with 8.54 lbs. Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr took fourth with 8.43 lbs. Fifth Place went to Cecil Cole and Scott Tyrell with 8.32 lbs. The big bass plaque went to Mike Houser with a nice small mouth weighing 4.83 lbs.
