Todd & Mike went fishing and came back with a baby swan they named "Easy". Poor baby was all tied up with fishing line and was drowning.

Big Bass - Curtis Talley 3.26 lbs



Turned out to be a great night of fishing. Todd and Mike rescued a little baby swan that was all tied up in fishing line. They named her Easy and Todd took her to the DNR on Tuesday. Hopefully she is now somewhere she can recover and be set free.


28 boats showed up with 10 boats bringing in limits. Seven boats brought in bags weighing in at 10 lbs or more. A total of 94 fish were caught and weighed in. We paid out six places and one big bass. First place went to Andrew Solomon with a great sack weighing in at 14.16 lbs. Those were some monster fish! The team of Chuck Standhardt and Chris Standhardt took second with a total of 11.22 lbs. Third place went to Todd Glover and Michael Ray (they caught fish too not just the swan, lol) with a weight of 10.74 lbs. Jake Sexton and Curtis Talley came in fourth with their fish weighing 10.62 lbs. They tied with Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr with 10.62 lbs. who took ended up in fifth place because of the big bass weight. Steve Smith and Kevin Barrows came in sixth with 10.39 lbs. The team of Brandon Hall and Justin Hall were one out of the money with a sack totaling 10.19 lbs. However, they did recieve a pair of Stearns Eco-Dry Rainsuits. Great job guys! Curtis Talley brought in the Big Bass with a weight of 3.26 lbs. Nice fish Curtis! Next Monday is the Fourth of July so we will not be fishing that day. Everyone have a safe Holiday, we will see you at Pontiac Lake on July 11.

Well our night started out with a few rain drops but ended really nice. The 5-hour ENERGY girls came out to promote and pass out samples of 5-hour Energy. The fishermen and women loved it! 30 boats turned out on this "energy" filled night. 13 teams brought in limits of 5 fish with a total of 99 fish altogether ALL alive! Great jobs guys! Once again we were able to pay out 6 places and 2 big bass. The team Derrek Zdeb and Justin Dunckel (who subbed for Chris Schultes who is on his honeymoon - Congratulations Chis!) brought in a nice bag of fish weighing in at 9.96 lbs that took first place. Second place went to Jake Sexton and Curtis Talley with a total weight of 9.77 lbs. Third place with a weight of 9.40 lbs went to the team of Chuck Standhardt and Chris Standhardt. John Gore and Paul Wright came in fourth with 8.80 lbs. The team of Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr took fifth with a total of 8.31 lbs. 7.89 lbs. came in sixth from the team of Bob Ayotte and Josh Cowen. Nice bags of fish guys! On to our Big Bass winners, second place went to Cecil Cole and his daughter Cierra with a nice bass weighing 2.58 lbs. Derrek Zdeb took first big bass with a weight of 3.00 lbs. even. Another nice fishing day at Cass Lake. The wind was crazy and the temps got a little chilly but we had a great turn out of 31 boats. Six boats brought in limits and we had a total of 79 fish all alive. We paid out six places and two big bass. Matt Malmquist and Nate Barr took first with a weight of 8.20 lbs. Second place went to Chris Standhardt and David Standhardt with a weight of 8.03 lbs. Our second place big bass went to the team Chris Talley and Jake Sexton with their bass weighing 2.98 lbs. Bob Ayotte and partner Josh Cowen took first big bass with the weight of 3.43 lbs.
